About this book
One Surya. Two Ashvins. Three Trimurti. Four Vedas. Five Pandavas.
This is not a counting book with five balloons and six ducks. It is a counting book where every number from 1 to 10 is tied to a foundational grouping your child will recognise for the rest of their life, one Surya lighting the sky, the three Trimurti, the four Vedas, the five Pandava brothers, the six ritus, the seven Saptarshi, the eight forms of Lakshmi, the nine Durgas, and the ten avatars of Vishnu.
Twelve illustrated pages. Every number shown in both Devanagari (१ २ ३) and the familiar numerals the world carried west from Bharat. Sanskrit names given with clear, honest meanings, never dumbed down. A Parent Notes page at the back traces each grouping to its source and gives you talking points to go deeper with your child.
From the Sanatan Bhumi · Gurukul imprint, Bharat-rooted, parampara-respectful, and never preachy. A book that teaches a child to count, and quietly hands them their inheritance at the same time.
Ages 3–6.
Illustrations were made with digital tools, including AI, then selected and retouched by hand.
